Tonight
Tonight Christian and I kept hearing a man's voice. As it turns out, it was the kids' computer telling us it was about to shut down. But in between hearing the voice and figuring out what the voice was, I imagined what it would be like to hear the voice say, "I am the voice you thought you just heard and I am the devil." That would be one of the most freaky things ever.

You just gave me the chills.
ReplyDeleteWe were just talking about this last night, how kids toys get very creepy when they start running out of battery and their "voices" get slow and deep. Eehh. You could see them coming alive and admitting to being possessed by the devil in a "Toy Story: The dark side" type scenario.
ReplyDeleteFriend's nephew (4 years old) loved star wars and had all sorts of related toys in his room. Suddenly, the child refused to sleep alone anymore and would cry and cry when they would try to put him to bed. Went on for days, until one night the dad fell asleep in the kid's bed with him, only to be woken up in the middle of the night by Darth Vader's signature breathing. Freaked him OUT.
ReplyDeleteYou just gave me the giggles.
ReplyDeletei laughed when i read this, and then later on, in the parking lot of the elementary school, i thought of it again and laughed again. its just so kacy.
ReplyDelete(i have renounced capital letters)
I had a Winnie the Pooh toy that started to request that I change his batteries and nobody believed me until a car trip when we were all in the car and he spoke up again.
ReplyDeleteToys ARE weird and scary.
ReplyDeleteIf I could give you a legitimate Blogger Award for this post I would. Posts like these are what keep my blogging spirit alive.
