Let's see, what year is it now? 10 years ago I had Sam and it was really easy and fun except for my uncompleted Master's Thesis which loomed over me depressingly. I also made my mom ship our second-hand excersaucer to Florida because I couldn't live without it. Ha ha! Do you know how big of a box you have to get to ship an exersaucer? Do you know how much shipping costs? Why did I do that! I'm so sorry I did that. I should have just bought a new one but even though we had a real paying job after being students for so long with no disposable income it honestly did not even occur to me. That was dumb.
5 THINGS ON MY TO DO LIST
1. Apologize to my mom for making her ship an exersaucer from Utah to Tampa Bay.
2. Apologize to my mom for making her drive a 15 foot Ryder truck from Utah to California (9 years ago). The truck carried an ugly old couch and an exersaucer. Why did I do that? Sorry!
3. Learn to ride Sam's new ripstick. (The exersaucer was WAY easier to balance in.)
4. Write a poem about snow called, "April Snow," or "Why I Don't Have a Garden."
5. Read my completed Master's Thesis. (Or YOU can read it, if you want.)
5 SNACKS I ENJOY
If I'm in the mood for salty, something salty. Like a hamburger or Spaghettios. If I'm in the mood for sweet, something sweet. Like a handful of chocolate chips or a spoonful of frosting. Just kidding! My real answer is hummus.
5 FOODS I LOVE (Well, here's what I order at 5 different restaurants):
Carrabas: Pollo Rosa Maria
Samhawk: Spicy Pork
Costa Vida/Cafe Rio: Chicken Burrito (enchilada style)
Ruby River: Prime rib with sweet potato
California Pizza Kitchen: BBQ Chicken Chop Salad
I recommend all of these whole-heartedly.
WHAT WOULD I DO IF I WERE SUDDENLY A BILLIONAIRE
Eat out all the time and reimburse my mom for exersaucer shipping charges.
5 PLACES I HAVE LIVED
Hell Hole
Cess Pool
Squalor
Florida--oops! Those are all the same.
Provo, Utah
FAVORITE QUOTE
"You don't have to brush all your teeth--just the ones you want to keep!" My award-winning dental awareness slogan. My mom thought of it. And she worked for a dentist. So she probably saw it on a poster at work. Who cares! I won a huge basket of fruit and sugar-free gum for it.
And now I tag Lisa, Chris, Courtney, Stephanie, Matt Clark, Brother and Sister Clark, Gabby, Ben, Jordan Ferney, Josh, Hailey, Phread, Azucar, Carly, Heidi, my mom, my dad (I love you!), Trish, Jen W, Dede, Clisty B, Phoebe, Bonnie, Barb, Hayna, Hester, Big Harry, Little Harry, Noah, Eliza, Kahl, egloria, Spammon, Daily Knack, Pottymouth, Lo, compulsive writer, b. , Rynell, Vern , Chelle, Dooce, Sweet Juniper, Abby, Emily, Carrie, Amy, Spencer, Chip, Cameron Diaz (liar), Christian, and Fromage de Merde. (Remember Fromage!) And you better all do it or I'll know you hate me.

I'll do this tag, but only if you ship me an exersaucer. :)
ReplyDeleteOh, you make me laugh. Don't forget Bonnie and Sarah and Marie-Lar.
ReplyDeletethis tag is just like an AIRBORNE DISEASE! IT'S SPREAD EVERYWHERE!!!!
ReplyDeleteloving the (liar) after Cameron's name..too funny.
ReplyDeletedo you really read my blog? I better step it up a notch.
hmm...spaghetios sound tasty at the moment. Haven't had those in years...I bet they won't taste as good as I think they will.
ReplyDeleteHummus and vintage aprons.
ReplyDeleteWhen you wrote "Courtney" did you really mean c jane???
P.S. Thanks for calling my parents "Brother and Sister" cause they totally like that.
Trish--THEY WILL.
ReplyDeleteHOLY CRAP! you don't hold back when you tag people. I dig you for being so bold.
ReplyDeleteMy name is right next to Dooce on the tag list. Awesome. Does she read your blog? Do you read mine? I'm going to assume (pretend?) that both of those things happen on a regular basis. That way we all win.
ReplyDeleteI, having NEVER been tagged before, am HONORED to be tagged. Does that make me a loser? And, I totally get making mom ship unreasonable items. I do that, too. It makes me feel good that I am not the only one.
ReplyDeleteOh, man, I can't WAIT to read Dooce's list!
ReplyDeleteI had to Google excersaucer because I had no idea what it was. I thought those things collapsed into an easy to ship size. No?
ReplyDeleteI rarely get tagged, so obviously my excitement is through the roof! Join me tomorrow and I will have answered the tag.
hummus rules
ReplyDeleteWow, I have never gone to Florida and NOW I never will!
ReplyDeletePardon my ignorance, but what in samhawk is Samhawk?
Samhawk? Seriously? Only the best Korean restaurant in Provo! Not that "best Korean restaurant in Provo" is a significant accomplishment, but it's something. I think there are two.
ReplyDeleteMy husband is from Tampa.
ReplyDeleteWe think Florida is a hell hole, cess pool, squalor, too. Next time we run into each other I'll explain my theories on why Florida should probably just sink.
Tagging duly noted.
You forgot a few of the O family...
ReplyDeleteI'll oblige anyway.
How 'bout that. It's like I knew you were going to tag me so i already did it. Just for you. Here. Only I left off the favorite quote part. And that would be, "This was not in the brochure." (coined during my mission, but pretty much applies to my life, too)
ReplyDeleteUh oh. I just caught up with this. But I don't hate you, I'm just lame. But I've noticed "dooce" didn't give you the time of day either. She probably does hate you. She hates a lot of people, but she sure cracks me up. What was my point again...oh yeah. Sorry I'm lame.
